Job summary

Siouxland Community Health Center in Sioux City, IA is seeking an Ultrasound Technician for a PRN role with a 16 hours per week cap, Monday through Friday scheduling. The successful candidate will perform ultrasound procedures under radiologist supervision and ensure image quality.

Requirements include an associate degree in an accredited ultrasound program, CAAHEP certification and IA Permit to Practice, plus 1-2 years of ultrasound experience and basic computer/data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate and adjust ultrasound equipment using proper techniques.

• Evaluate images for technical quality.

Successful candidate must have solid experience & advanced knowledge of:

• Associate degree from accredited ultrasound program
• CAAHEP certification and IA Permit to Practice required
• 1-2 years ultrasound experience preferred
• Basic computer and data entry skills

Successful candidate must be able to perform primary functions of position:

• Maintain, operate and adjust ultrasound equipment using proper techniques.
• Perform all ultrasound procedures throughout the clinic.
• Work closely with the radiologist and other licensed medical providers presenting images and data for interpretation.
• Responsible for evaluating images for technical quality.
• These functions are not all inclusive
