Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our imaging team in Corpus Christi, TX. The role covers performing and recording M-mode, 2D Doppler echocardiograms for adults and pediatrics, and assisting during TEE exams and Stress Testing.

You will schedule procedures, explain them to patients, maintain ultrasound equipment, and work flexibly to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a cardiac-related field.
• Certification in Basic Arrhythmic Interpretation.
• Certification in Ultrasound Training Program.
• RDCS/RDMS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• RVT must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Associate degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Determine priority on patient care and complete work within the time frame.
• Delegate work with clear directions.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of work performed.
• Follow hospital policy and procedures.
• Be flexible with scheduling due to workload.
• Seek additional tasks after completing assigned work.
• Perform well in stress and emergency situations.
• Inform supervisor if unable to complete tasks.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for performing and recording measurements and final report of M-mode, two-dimensional Doppler echocardiograms for adults and pediatric patients. Assist practitioners during invasive TEE exams and Stress Testing. Communicate information to physicians. Exhibits good bedside manners dealing with patients, family members, and staff. Proficient in scheduling, explaining procedures to patients and maintaining ultrasound equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• One year of experience in a cardiac-related field
• Certification in Basic Arrhythmic Interpretation
• Certification in Ultrasound Training Program.
• (RDCS/RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/ Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
