Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center seeks an Ultrasound Technician PRN to perform M-mode, 2D Doppler echocardiograms for adults and children, and assist during invasive procedures. You will relay findings to physicians and clearly explain procedures to patients and families.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year in a cardiac-related field, and current Basic Arrhythmic Interpretation and Ultrasound Training Program certifications. RDCS/RDMS or RVT within 6 months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a cardiac-related field.
• Certification in Basic Arrhythmic Interpretation.
• Certification in Ultrasound Training Program.
• RDCS/RDMS required within 6 months of start date.
• RVT required within 6 months of start date.
• Associate degree and Basic Life Support current/active.

• Determine priorities in patient care and complete tasks within deadlines.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Responsible for performing and recording measurements and final report of M-mode, two-dimensional Doppler echocardiograms for adults and pediatric patients. Assist practitioners during invasive TEE exams and Stress Testing. Communicate information to physicians. Exhibits good bedside manners dealing with patients, family members, and staff. Proficient in scheduling, explaining procedures to patients and maintaining ultrasound equipment.

Qualifications you will need

• One year of experience in a cardiac-related field
• Certification in Basic Arrhythmic Interpretation
• Certification in Ultrasound Training Program.
• (RDCS/RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/ Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
