Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital in Southern California is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and generate diagnostic recordings. The role includes positioning patients, handling equipment, and ensuring images are transmitted to PACS for interpretation.

Requirements include RDMS/ARDMS or ARRT certification within 18 months of hire, graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, BCLS, and basic computer skills. Per Diem employment and a variable shift are offered.

Qualifications

• RDMS/ARDMS or ARRT certification required within 18 months of hire date and maintained.
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent as described in #1.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintained.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ultrasound exams performed with competency; ensure proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation.
• Position patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording.
• Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

Responsibilities

Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Positions patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within eighteen months (18) of hire date and maintain.

2. Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.

3. Previous experience preferred.

4. Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.

5. Proficient computer skills

Pay Transparency

Desert Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $40.88. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
