Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Successful completion of Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program, Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent required (State Specific).

Responsibilities

• Assist and support Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) operations under RN supervision.
• Provide direct care to patients across neonate to adult ages.
• Complete and process birth certificates and Declaration of Paternity forms.

Responsibilities

The OB Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization and function of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP). Works cooperatively with and under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides direct care to patient of various ages (neonate, adolescent, adult). Interacts with physicians, patients, families/significant others, hospital staff and community agencies in providing basic care. Is responsible for completion and processing of the birth certificates, and "Declaration of Paternity" forms.

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent

2. BLS Certification within 30 days and maintain current
