Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is seeking an Ultrasound Technician for a weekend shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with on-call Friday and Saturday nights. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, maintain equipment, and contribute to an imaging team focused on accurate diagnoses and compassionate patient care.

Applicants should be ARRT certified, with BLS within 30 days and ACLS/PALS within six months; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or Radiology program.
• Certification or eligibility for ARRT credentialing.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients, explain procedures and ensure comfort.
• Provide imaging services to all ages using imaging modalities.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures per standards.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; organize work area.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with scheduling to ensure smooth patient flow.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should be a graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology. Must be ARRT certified. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
