Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center invites a Radiology Tech Student to join the Imaging Team in Clyde, NC. The PRN, varying schedule offers hands-on experience assisting in X-ray, CT, and MRI procedures under supervision.

You will develop radiographic skills, prepare films for interpretation, and help maintain equipment and supplies while pursuing a Radiologic Technology degree. This role supports professional growth in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be working on completion of a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Radiology Student 1: actively enrolled in 1st year of accredited Radiology program.
• Radiology Student 2: actively enrolled in 2nd year with competencies in various radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Takes diagnostic radiographs of various body parts to assist diagnosis.
• Develops and prepares films for interpretation.
• Maintains supplies and cleans equipment in assigned areas.

A Radiology Tech Student who excels in this role:

• Takes diagnostic radiographs of various parts of the body to assist the medical staff in diagnosing disease, injury and the location of foreign bodies.
• Develops and prepares films for interpretation.
• Maintains supplies and cleans equipment in assigned areas.

What we're looking for

Applicants should be a High school graduate or equivalent. Must be working on completion of a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology. Additional requirements include: be a current student in good standings in an approved course in Radiology Technology. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Radiology Student 1: Actively enrolled in, and in good standing in 1st year of an accredited Radiology program.
• Radiology Student 2: Actively enrolled in, and in good standing in 2nd year of an accredited Radiology program. Must have competencies in the various radiologic exams being performed.
