Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform sonograms and assist radiologists in biopsy and vascular exams. The Radiology Tech will manage scheduling, documentation, and charging within the system.

Requirements include a diploma in ultrasound, ARDMS, and BLS certification, with two years of acute care experience preferred. Opportunities exist for growth and competitive compensation in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as a sonographer in an acute care facility (preferred)
• Diploma from a certified school of ultrasound or equivalent (preferred)
• ARDMS certification required
• RVT certification strongly preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• Ability to perform general & vascular exams (arterial, carotids, etc.)
• Ability to follow physician’s orders
• Ability to pull related exams for doctor viewing
• Must be able to perform sonography studies in an operating room setting
• Performs “Time Out” on all procedures, ensures universal protocols are completed on all patients by utilizing “two identifiers” per TJC NPSG standard
• Verbalizes and demonstrates, in clinical practice, HIPAA compliance and all safety practices as supported by organizational policy and procedure
