Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform sonograms and assist radiologists during procedures. You will handle scheduling, exams, and billing in our radiology department.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as a sonographer in an acute care facility preferred.
• ARDMS certification required.
• RVT (registered vascular technologist) strongly preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to perform general & vascular exams (arterial, carotids, etc.).
• Ability to follow physician’s orders.
• Ability to pull related exams for doctor viewing.
• Must be able to perform sonography studies in an operating room setting.
• Performs “Time Out” on all procedures, ensures universal protocols are completed on all patients by utilizing “two identifiers” per TJC NPSG standard.
• Verbalizes and demonstrates HIPAA compliance and all safety practices as supported by organizational policy and procedure.
