Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonography professional to perform ultrasound exams and related invasive procedures on patients of all ages at our Newnan facility. You will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure safety, and provide compassionate care under established standards.

Ideal candidates have a CAHHEP/ARDMS/ARRT-aligned education and are committed to obtaining required certifications within the designated timeframe.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or ARRT-approved program.
• 1 year of experience preferred; no experience required acceptable.
• Licensure/certification required within defined timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provide patient services and care across neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric populations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology; communicate with staff and radiologists.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

• Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT. Required or

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography Must become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months of employment. within 180 Days Required and
• Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment. within 180 Days Required and
• (BR) ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS) Required
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Preferred
• RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Preferred
