Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic exams and assist with invasive procedures in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes patient-focused care, accurate imaging, and teamwork with radiologists and staff.

The ideal candidate will have a CAHEAP/ARRT-approved education path, ARDMS registration, and the ability to handle neonatal through geriatric patients. On-site position at Piedmont Newnan Hospital with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or ARRT approved program.
• No experience required; 1 year of experience preferred.

Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography Must become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months of employment. within 180 Days Required and
• Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment. within 180 Days Required and
• (BR) ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS) Required
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Preferred
• RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Preferred
