Cooper Lighting Solutions is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Tech for evening shifts in Newnan, Georgia. This position requires operating ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic exams and invasive procedures while providing patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatrics.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate from an accredited sonography program and must obtain necessary certifications, including ARDMS, within the first months of employment. Effective communication skills with staff and radiologists are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT.

Work Experience

• No experience required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS – Basic Life Support – required upon hire.
• ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography – must become registered by the ARDMS within 6 months (180 days) of employment.
• Vascular Sonographers – must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within 6 months (180 days) of employment.
• (BR) ARDMS or ARRT – Breast Sonography – Breast licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS).
• RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist – preferred.
• RVS – Registered Vascular Sonographer – preferred.
