Job summary

Piedmont in Newnan, Georgia is looking for a qualified ultrasound technician to operate ultrasound equipment and provide diagnostic services. The candidate will work with patients of all ages and should possess knowledge of anatomy and pathology.

This role requires graduation from an approved sonography program and the ability to achieve ARDMS registration within 6 months. New hires must have BCLS certification upon employment. Experience is preferred but not necessary.

Qualifications

• No experience required to start, but 1 year of experience is preferred.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.
• Must become registered by the ARDMS within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams.
• Provides patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Licenses and Certifications

• Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment.
• (BR) ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS) Required.
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Preferred.
• RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Preferred.
