Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams, verify patient data, and document results in EMR/PACS. The role requires strong patient care, English communication, and adherence to department protocols.

ARdMS/ARRT preferred; opportunities for growth in breast, prostate, neuro and vascular imaging. Night-weekend shifts cover vacations and on-call needs within the Zephyrhills and Meadow Pointe area.

Qualifications

• Ultrasound physics knowledge and anatomy knowledge for independent procedures.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry and retrieval.
• Strong patient care and communication across age groups.
• Clear English communication and ability to explain procedures.
• Familiarity with Radiology software and PACS applications.
• Commitment to continuing education and licensure updates.
• Ability to perform procedures independently to Radiologist standards.
• Team player with flexibility and sound judgment.
• Experience or skills in pediatric, neuro, or vascular ultrasound is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity, history, and appropriateness prior to scanning.
• Position patients/equipment and optimize images and data.
• Maintain accurate EMR/PACS documentation.
• Explain procedures, ensure patient comfort, privacy, and cooperation.
• Learn and use Radiology software and adapt to department policies.
