Northwell is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to perform ultrasound examinations and support patient diagnosis. You will apply non-ionizing high-frequency ultrasonic waves, collaborating with clinicians to ensure exam appropriateness and accuracy.

The role includes essential administrative duties and maintaining patient records. Ideal candidates hold a Vocational or Technical School Diploma with 1–3 years of sonography experience and credentials such as

• Requires a Vocational or Technical School Diploma.
• One of the following credentials is required: RDMS, RDCS, RCS, ACS, RVT, RVS, RT(S)(ARRT), or RT(VS)(ARRT).
• Experience: 1–3 years of technical sonography experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patient for ultrasound exam and position on table per SOPs.
• Obtain pertinent imaging and diagnostic reports for correlation.
• Consult with referring physician to determine appropriate exam.
• Set up equipment and adjust settings for accurate results.
• Perform ultrasound procedures and differentiate normal vs. pathologic findings.
• Determine need for further evaluations beyond initial instruction.
• Monitor patient during exam and report changes.
• Document image details and label studies; maintain logs.
• Perform calibration checks and troubleshoot equipment.
