Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an Ultrasound Tech at East Campus to perform and document sonographic exams following established protocols. You will operate diverse ultrasound equipment, ensure optimal image quality, and support performance improvement initiatives.

The role requires RDMS in AB and OB/GYN, two years of relevant clinical experience, and may involve floats to specialty units. Per diem appointment at 20% with 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in AB and OB/GYN.
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent years of experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs and records all sonographic procedures and assists with some specialty procedures.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and recording devices; ensures high-quality images.
• Floats within department; assists mentoring of junior ultrasound technologists and students.
