Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA, is seeking an ultrasound technologist to operate ultrasound equipment, perform diagnostic exams, and assist with routine invasive procedures in accordance with established standards.

You will care for patients across age groups, coordinate with radiologists, and fulfill education and certification requirements including ARDMS/ARRT registry eligibility and BCLS at hire.

Qualifications

• CAAHEP/ARRT accredited program required.
• No experience required; 1 year experience preferred.
• ARDMS/ARRT registry eligibility required; BCLS on hire.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications

Education

• an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT. Required or

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• ARDMS/ARRT(s) registry eligible Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS), or ARDMS
