Job summary

WMCH Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV is seeking a qualified Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform high-quality ultrasound exams, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts, with color Doppler. Requires RDMS certification and ARDMS specialty credentials, plus CPR within 30 days of hire.

You will collaborate with radiology staff, maintain equipment, and document results in PACS. The role supports patient care, safety, and adherence to JCAHO standards on a 40-hour weekly

Qualifications

• RDMS certification through ARDMS is required.
• Specialty ARDMS certifications in abdomen, OB/GYN, PS, RVT, breast, or MSK are preferred.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Explain tests to patients and position them for examination.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and safety standards.
• Perform high-quality ultrasound scans per protocols and orders.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and documentation.
• Submit images to PACS and maintain accurate records.
