Job summary

Axia Women's Health Broad Ripple location seeks an ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound under physician supervision, handle patient care during procedures, schedule, and communicate with patients.

Requires ARDMS or eligible, CPR, associate degree or two-year college, 3-4 years experience or 1-2 years related/applicable experience; offers full-time benefits, no call, no nights, no weekends.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school.
  • Three to four years of directly related experience will be accepted in lieu of Associates Degree.
  • 1 to 2 years related/applicable experience.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current ARDMS or eligible; Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.
  • Interacts with physicians and other technical staff to provide quality, safe and efficient care for the patient.
  • Follows guidelines for probe handling and infection control.
  • Follows examination protocols under the guidance of the physicians on duty.
  • Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
  • Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings.
  • Conducts scanning procedures.
  • Ensures maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
  • Orders and stocks all ultrasound supplies.
  • Maintains all ultrasound records, reports and files.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in handling all customer interactions.
  • Performs all other duties as may be assigned from time‑to‑time.

Location: Broad Ripple, IN.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30 am-5:00 pm with a total of 30‑36 hours per week. No Call, No Nights, No Weekends

Position Description

Provides ultrasound diagnostic services as directed by physicians including scheduling, patient care during procedure and communication with patients.
