Job summary

Axia Women’s Health seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform routine and diagnostic ultrasound imaging in Broad Ripple, IN. You will work Monday–Friday, 30–36 hours weekly, with no on-call nights or weekends.

You’ll interact with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality care, follow infection control protocols, and maintain records and equipment. ARDMS/eligible and CPR certifications required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in ultrasound/sonography.
• ARDMS certification or eligible and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.
• Interacts with physicians and other staff to provide quality care.
• Follows probe handling and infection control guidelines.
• Follows examination protocols under physicians' guidance.
• Explains procedures to assure patient cooperation and test quality.
• Positions patients, selects transducers and machine settings.
• Conducts scanning procedures and maintains records.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and supplies inventory.
• Demonstrates flexibility in handling all interactions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location: Broad Ripple, IN.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30 am-5:00 pm with a total of 30-36 hours per week. No Call, No Nights, No Weekends

Position Description

Provides ultrasound diagnostic services as directed by physicians including scheduling, patient care during procedure and communication with patients.

• Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.
• Interacts with physicians and other technical staff to provide quality, safe and efficient care for the patient.
• Follows guidelines for probe handling and infection control.
• Follows examination protocols under the guidance of the physicians on duty.
• Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
• Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings.
• Conducts scanning procedures.
• Ensures maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
• Orders and stocks all ultrasound supplies.
• Maintains all ultrasound records, reports and files.
• Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in handling all customer interactions.
• Performs all other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.

Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school.

Three to four years of directly related experience will be accepted in lieu of Associates Degree at the discretion of the practice.

and 1 to 2 years related/applicable experience.

Licensure/Certification

Certification is required: Current ARDMS or eligible

Current CPR certification
