Job summary

Axia Women’s Health is seeking a Sonographer to join our AIUM-accredited care center as PRN staff in East Brunswick, Piscataway, and Edison locations. You will perform ultrasound examinations for standard and high-risk OB cases and GYN, with varied hours from 8-5:00 pm depending on schedule.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of OB/GYN scanning experience, RDMS, NT, CPR certifications, and a certificate from an accredited ultrasound program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience performing obstetrical and gynecological scanning.
• Degree/certificate from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Current RDMS, NT and CPR certifications.
• Perinatal experience.
• Knowledge of CPT coding and eClinicalWorks (EMR) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ultrasound scanning: routine, diagnostic, gynecological, and obstetric exams.
• Patient care: interact with staff, position patients, explain procedures.
• Clinical protocols: adhere to infection control and proper probe handling.
• Operational support: equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Documentation & service: maintain records and provide responsive service.
• Additional duties: perform other tasks as needed.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Sonographer to join our AIUM accredited care center as a PRN staff in East Brunswick Piscataway and Edison locations. The Sonographer will perform ultrasounds for standard and High Risk OB Cases and GYN.

Hours: PRN varied days per week 8-5:00 pm (but could be earlier or later depending on schedule)

• Ultrasound Scanning: Performs routine, diagnostic, gynecological, and obstetric ultrasound examinations .
  • Patient Care: Interacts with medical staff to ensure safe, high-quality care; positions patients; and explains procedures for optimal results .
• Clinical Protocols: Adheres to established protocols, infection control standards, and proper probe handling .
• Operational Support: equipment maintenance, and supply inventory .
• Documentation & Service: Maintains records and reports while providing flexible, responsive customer service .
• Additional Duties: Performs other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Degree/certificate from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Current RDMS, NT and CPR certifications.
• Perinatal experience.
