POSITION SUMMARY
  • Performs high‑quality ultrasound exams using proper techniques, equipment settings, and independent judgment to capture accurate diagnostic images.
  • Ensures patient care and safety, including preparation, positioning, communication, and adherence to universal precautions.
  • Supports radiologists with image‑guided procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, hysterosonograms).
  • Manages workflow and documentation, including RIS/PACS, scheduling coordination, patient communication, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Maintains quality control and compliance, including equipment QA, ACR standards, and ongoing professional development.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association.
  • Current registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (or must be registry‑eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment in technologist position).
  • Must be registered through ARDMS with AB, OB/GYN and RVT (Practice and State Specific).
