Job summary

Premier Radiology in Brentwood, TN is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and support radiologists in image-guided procedures. You will ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and clear communication, while efficiently managing RIS/PACS workflow and documentation.

The role requires ARDMS registry (or registry-eligible with registration within a year) and CPR in accordance with AHA standards.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
• ARDMS registration (or registry-eligible with registration within one year).
• Must be ARDMS-registered with AB, OB/GYN and RVT where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams with proper technique and independent judgment.
• Ensure patient care and safety, including preparation, positioning and communication.
• Assist radiologists with image-guided procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, hysterosonograms).
• Manage workflow and documentation (RIS/PACS, scheduling, patient communication, recordkeeping).
• Maintain QA and comply with ACR standards; pursue ongoing professional development.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Performs high-quality ultrasound exams using proper techniques, equipment settings, and independent judgment to capture accurate diagnostic images
• Ensures patient care and safety, including preparation, positioning, communication, and adherence to universal precautions
• Supports radiologists with image-guided procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, hysterosonograms)
• Manages workflow and documentation, including RIS/PACS, scheduling coordination, patient communication, and accurate recordkeeping
• Maintains quality control and compliance, including equipment QA, ACR standards, and ongoing professional development

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association
• Current registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (or must be registry-eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment in technologist position)
• Must be registered through ARDMS with AB, OB/GYN and RVT (Practice and State Specific
