Job summary

Premier Radiology, a Radiology Partners practice in the Nashville area, seeks an ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality exams and ensure patient safety.

You’ll work under radiologists, support image-guided procedures, manage workflow in RIS/PACS, and maintain QA standards with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Current CPR certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
  • ARDMS registry AB, OB/GYN, RVT or registry-eligible and able to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Performs high-quality ultrasound exams using proper techniques to capture accurate diagnostic images.
  • Ensures patient care and safety, including preparation and positioning.
  • Supports radiologists with image-guided procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, hysterosonograms).
  • Manages workflow and documentation in RIS/PACS, scheduling coordination, and patient communication.
  • Maintains quality control and compliance, including equipment QA and ongoing professional development.

Position Summary:
  • Performs high-quality ultrasound exams using proper techniques, equipment settings, and independent judgment to capture accurate diagnostic images
  • Ensures patient care and safety, including preparation, positioning, communication, and adherence to universal precautions
  • Supports radiologists with image-guided procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, hysterosonograms)
  • Manages workflow and documentation, including RIS/PACS, scheduling coordination, patient communication, and accurate recordkeeping
  • Maintains quality control and compliance, including equipment QA, ACR standards, and ongoing professional development
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association
  • Current registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (or must be registry-eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment in technologist position)
  • Must be registered through ARDMS with AB, OB/GYN and RVT (Practice and State Specific
