Job summary

Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and support patient care across all ages. The role requires professional judgment, potential multi-credentialing in sonography, and completion of established competencies within the introductory period.

Minimum education includes a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program graduate; preferred is an Associate degree and 2–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and ARDMS/ARRT certification required.
• Active healthcare provider BLS - ARC or AHA within 60 days of hire.
• 2–5 years of Diagnostic Sonography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by a physician.
• Exercise professional judgment to assist in diagnosis across age groups.
• Possess or attain multi-credentialing in sonography and complete competencies in introductory period.

Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. May be multi-credentialed in sonography. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:Graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

PREFERRED EDUCATION:Associate degree

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:2-5 years in Diagnostic Sonography

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:Must be registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiology Technologist in Sonography (ARRT).

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
