Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a Diagnostic Sonographer to perform high quality ultrasound exams under physician supervision in the Harlingen, TX area. The role involves assisting with amnio procedures and maintaining image records, with emphasis on patient care and clinical accuracy.

Qualified candidates will have graduated from an accredited sonography program and be ARDMS/ARRT certified within 24 months of graduation (12 months of hire); BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography is required.
• Must be registered with ARDMS or ARRT within 24 months of graduation (12 months of hire). BLS certified.
• Preferred: Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic sonographs as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Assists with amnio procedure biopsies.
• Processes and files films as needed.

Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. May be multi-credentialed in sonography. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
