Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Sonography Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations under physician supervision. You will work with patients from newborn to elderly and contribute to accurate diagnoses.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited diagnostic sonography program, eligible for ARDMS or ARRT certification within 24 months of graduation, and holds BLS certification. Preferred: 1–3 years of sonography experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography.
• Must be ARDMS or ARRT registered within 24 months of graduation; BLS certified.
• Preferred: 1-3 years of sonography experience.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic sonographs as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Assists with amnio procedure biopsies.
• Processes and files films as needed.

Job description

Under minimal supervision, performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. May be multi-credentialed in sonography. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
