Job summary

Axia Women’s Health in Broad Ripple, IN, seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform routine and diagnostic ultrasound images and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Position offers 30–36 hours per week, Monday–Friday, no nights or weekends. ARDMS certification and CPR required; associates degree or equivalent with 3–4 years related experience preferred. Full benefits available for 30+ hours.

• 3–4 years direct ultrasound experience may be substituted per practice discretion.
• 1–2 years related/applicable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.

• Adheres to examination protocols under physician supervision.
• Oversees patient scheduling and explains procedures to patients.
• Positions patients, selects transducers and machine settings.

• Maintains ultrasound equipment and stocks supplies.
• Demonstrates flexibility in handling all interactions.

Hours

Monday-Friday 7:30 am-5:00 pm with a total of 30-36 hours per week. No Call, No Nights, No Weekends

Position Description

• Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.
• Interacts with physicians and other technical staff to provide quality, safe and efficient care for the patient.
• Follows guidelines for probe handling and infection control.
• Follows examination protocols under the guidance of the physicians on duty.
• Oversees patient scheduling.
• Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
• Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings.
• Conducts scanning procedures.
• Ensures maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
• Orders and stocks all ultrasound supplies.
• Maintains all ultrasound records, reports and files.
• Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in handling all customer interactions.
• Performs all other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.

Minimum Education/Experience

• Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school.
• Three to four years of directly related experience will be accepted in lieu of Associates Degree at the discretion of the practice.
• and 1 to 2 years related/applicable experience.

Licensure/Certification

• Certification is required: Current ARDMS or eligible
• Current CPR certification
