Job summary

Olmsted Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Ultrasound Supervisor to lead the ultrasound team, oversee routine and specialized imaging, and ensure quality control and regulatory compliance. Candidates should have a completed Accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program, ARDS certification, five years of ultrasound experience, and leadership experience; BLS certification required.

Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of an accrediting Diagnostic Sonography Program.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Five years' experience in ultrasound.
  • Supervisor or lead experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas.
  • BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the work of ultrasound personnel engaged in performing routine and specialized imaging procedures including planning ultrasound work, evaluating work performed, and handling procedural and technical problems.
  • Assists in development and implementation of quality control programs to ensure reliability of testing procedures, proper functioning of ultrasound equipment, and compliance with federal regulations; prepares and maintains applicable records. Coordinates and is responsible for the ACR accreditation for ultrasound.
  • Designs appropriate work schedules for subordinate employees and plans daily work assignments in order to maintain an adequate personnel complement for ultrasound efficiency.
  • Supervises various personnel functions including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and vacation schedules.
  • Develops process to maintain sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties.
  • Moderates amount of lifting and positioning patients and equipment.
  • Ability to frequently lift objects heavier than 100 pounds.
  • Concentrates on fine details with constant interruption.
  • Attends to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Understands and relates to the concepts behind specific ideas.
  • Must multi-task.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Starting Pay - $44.34 to $66.51 (based on experience)
