Job summary

Olmsted Medical Center is seeking a Diagnostic Sonographer for 1.0 FTE with day/evening and rotating shifts in Minnesota. Starting pay ranges from $39.41 to $59.11 per hour based on experience.

The role involves performing diagnostic imaging, reviewing histories, and providing preliminary findings to radiologists. Eligible candidates will have ARDMS certification, completed sonography program, BLS, and strong knowledge of anatomy.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an accrediting Diagnostic Sonography Program.
• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas.

Responsibilities

• Takes initiative to confirm orders are accurate.
• Reviews patient history for necessary information (lab results, surgeries, etc.).
• Performs difficult manipulative skills to obtain diagnostic images on all patients (outpatient, inpatient, ER, OR, and portable).
• Uses independent judgment to evaluate images and related data to interpret exams and provides preliminary findings to the radiologist.
• Performs invasive procedures.
• Takes call on a rotating basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Satisfactory completion of an accrediting Diagnostic Sonography Program
