Job summary

Olmsted Medical Center seeks an Ultrasonographer for a PRN temporary position in Rochester, MN. Starting wage ranges from $39.41 to $59.11 per hour, depending on experience. The role requires ARDMS certification, a accredited Sonography program, and BLS.

Responsibilities include confirming orders, reviewing histories, obtaining diagnostic images, and providing preliminary radiologist findings. Hours include day/evening and weekends with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an Accrediting Diagnostic Sonography Program.
• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas.

Responsibilities

• Takes initiative to confirm orders are accurate.
• Reviews patient history for necessary information (lab results, surgeries, etc.).
• Performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging on all patients (outpatient, inpatient, ER, OR, portable).
• Uses independent judgment to evaluate images and provide preliminary findings to the radiologist.
• Performs invasive procedures.
• Takes call on a rotating basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
