Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer II to join a state-of-the-art imaging team. You will perform quality sonographic examinations and provide professional, independent judgment across the department.

This role requires RDMS or Maine RT licensure with S cert; candidates must meet within 24 months. You will float between ACH and TCH sites, delivering accurate studies and adhering to department policies.

Qualifications

  • RDMS by ARDMS or Maine State licensure as Radiologic Technologist with RT and S by ARRT preferred within 12 months, required within 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality sonographic examinations using state-of-the-art equipment within daily schedule constraints.
  • Exercises independent professional judgment to produce quality studies.
  • Abides by department policies and procedures.
  • Recognizes patient condition, age and abilities to provide quality care.
  • Floats to ACH and TCH Ultrasound sites.

Job Description

The Role: Ultrasound Sonographer II The Opportunity: All MaineGeneral Health facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art medical imaging technologies and run fully DR. This is an excellent opportunity to join both a talented and dedicated team to provide excellent care within a state-of-the-art facility. The Work


  • Performs quality sonographic examinations utilizing state of the art equipment, within the time constraints of the daily schedule.

  • Exercises independent and professional judgment to produce quality studies

  • Abides by the policies and procedures set forth by the department

  • Recognizes the patients’ condition, age limitations and abilities, and acts accordingly to provide quality care

  • Float to both the ACH and TCH Ultrasound sites



Licenses/Certs/Skills Desired


  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Maine State licensure as Radiologic Technologic and Registered as a Technologist (RT) and certified in sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred within 12 months of hire, required within 24 months of hire.

  • Proficient in general, interventional, small parts, and venous ultrasound modalities



Compensation Information

$34.93 - $68.07 The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
