Job summary

Wood County Hospital invites qualified ultrasound professionals to join Wood County Women’s Care as a full-time Sonographer. The role focuses on high-quality diagnostic imaging, patient safety, and collaboration with physicians and the care team in an on-site daytime setting.

The position requires completion of an approved diagnostic ultrasound program (or ARDMS-accepted equivalent) and BLS within 90 days. ARDMS certification or eligibility within 18 months and a preference for 2+ years of

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or ARDMS-accepted equivalent.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• ARDMS certification or certification obtained within 18 months of hire date.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to produce clear and precise images for physician evaluation.
• Monitor patient conditions during procedures to ensure safety, comfort, and cooperation.
• Analyze ultrasound images and document findings in patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to review results and assist with treatment decisions.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and safety protocols.
• Support a culture of safety and patient care excellence.
• May require longer hours as necessary.
