Job summary

Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, OH, is seeking a Sonographer for Wood County Women’s Care. This full-time, days position involves high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging in an onsite setting, supporting physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.

The role requires ARDMS certification or certification within 18 months, completion of an approved ultrasound program, and BLS within 90 days. Experience is preferred but not required; two years is preferred for the candidate pool.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or ARDMS-recognized equivalent.
• ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire date or already certified.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to produce clear and precise images for physician evaluation.
• Monitor patient conditions during procedures to ensure safety, comfort, and cooperation.
• Analyze ultrasound images and document findings accurately in patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to review diagnostic results and assist with treatment decisions.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and adherence to safety protocols.
• Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
• Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
