Qualifications

• Accredited or approved program in Sonography required.
• Proficiency in general, vascular and cardiac sonography.
• Ability to review medical history and orders for accurate exams.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and cardiac studies.
• Differentiates normal from pathologic findings with independent judgment.
• Labels images with patient name and MRU number.
• Maintains radiology records and enters billing codes accurately.
• Identifies equipment issues and evaluates new products.
• Communicates findings to the physician.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care.
