Job summary

Aurora Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Rad Tech II for the 3rd shift (Monday-Thursday, 2200-0800) in Radiology. The role requires state radiographer licensure and ARRT, plus BLS, with typical responsibilities across diagnostic and fluoroscopy procedures and strong patient communication.

We offer a $6,000 sign-on bonus, full benefits starting day one, tuition reimbursement, and student loan repayment assistance. Minimum 2 years radiologic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced radiologic procedures and patient care.
• Proficient in general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, pain clinic, GI lab, urology and C-arm procedures.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures and obtain history.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors with radiation safety.
• Identifies and labels images and ensures exam accuracy with orders.
• Assists radiologists and works with providers outside the department.
• Maintains records and enters data into RIS; codes procedures for billing.
• Serves as a resource and preceptor for staff and students.
• Collaborates with other departments on imaging processes.
• Performs patient positioning and lifting with proper technique.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently performs basic to advanced radiologic procedures.
• Proficient with general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, GI lab, and C-arm procedures.
• Explains procedures, collects history, and addresses questions.
• Prepares and protects patients with radiation safety in accordance with methods.
• Labels images, verifies requisitions, and ensures exam accuracy.
• Assists radiologists and collaborates with providers.
• Works independently outside the department with providers.
• Maintains records per regulatory agencies and enters RIS data.
• Documents billing codes for procedures performed.
• Acts as a technical resource and mentor to staff and students.
• Supports staff across the system and facilitates problem solving.
• Manages positioning and transporting duties with safe technique.
