Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a qualified imaging technologist to perform prescribed imaging procedures with independence and sound judgment. You will position patients, optimize imaging parameters, and ensure safety standards while coordinating with the radiology team.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, educating patients, preparing equipment, administering contrast as needed, and reporting results.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training.
• One or more certifications required within 12 months of hire: RDMS or Sonography-RT(S) or Vascular Sonography-RT(VS) via ARRT/CCI as applicable.
• CPR - American Heart Association; background clearances (Act 34, Act 33, Act 73, FBI) as required.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedure(s) and analyze results; report scan results.
• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patient about procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensure safety standards and perform quality control.
• Administer contrast media and/or medications as ordered within scope of practice; monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
