Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program which meets requirements by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations, utilizing cognitive sonographic skills to identify, document, and adapt examinations as appropriate.
• Assumes responsibility for patient safety, comfort, and proper identification.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and efficiently, coordinates examinations to minimize patient stay.
• Maintains equipment, performs QC, and notifies supervisors of malfunctions.
• Interacts with physicians and staff to provide safe, quality care.
• Provides instruction to students and coordinates with ancillary personnel as needed.
• Completes divisional paperwork and mandatory educational assignments.
