Qualifications

• High school diploma, or GED equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Actively enrolled as a student in an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program in preparation of registry (ARRT/ARDMS).

Responsibilities

• Ensure imaging orders are correct and available for technologist review.
• Review scheduled procedures to confirm pre-procedure labs are ordered.
• Answer calls promptly and courteously, taking accurate messages.
• Transcribe, schedule, and reschedule examinations with appropriate prep information.
• Assist imaging technologist and radiologist by contacting referring providers.
• Provide copies of imaging records and upload images in PACS; adhere to HIPAA.
• Use EPIC and RIS/PACS software to perform duties and ensure accurate data entry.
• Transport patients between areas as needed.
• Clean and disinfect examination rooms and hold spaces.
• Obtain lab results and check allergies/implants prior to examinations.
• Maintain department policies, stock supplies, and participate in training.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Current BLS Certification

Enrolled in Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (ARRT/ARDMS prep)
