Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a Student Sonographer Intern to gain hands-on experience in cardiovascular imaging within a real-world clinical setting in Albuquerque. You will work with licensed sonographers, observe echocardiography and vascular exams, and build confidence in patient care.

As an enrolled student in a cardiovascular sonography program, you will learn equipment handling, safe patient prep, and teamwork in a busy imaging department, with mentorship and opportunities for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Cardiovascular Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiac (adult or pediatric) and vascular sonographers with patient preparation, positioning, and education to ensure a comfortable experience.
• Observe and actively participate in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures under direct supervision.
• Learn operation and care of ultrasound equipment and prep imaging rooms for daily use.
• Support image acquisition, measurements, and preliminary documentation while developing technical skills.
• Collaborate with cardiac, vascular, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.
