Job summary

Lake Region Healthcare Corporation is seeking an Ultrasound Assistant in Fergus Falls, MN to support sonographers, radiologists and imaging staff. You will greet and prepare patients, schedule exams, obtain histories, and help educate patients to ensure a smooth ultrasound experience.

You will assist with positioning, maintain exam rooms, manage patient flow and image transfers, and uphold infection control standards in a collaborative healthcare team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have current CPR certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Successful completion of pre-employment health screening.
• Familiarity with imaging procedures is preferred.
• Ability to attend work site as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients, schedule exams, obtain clinical history and provide instructions.
• Assist with mobility and positioning, maintain patient privacy and comfort.
• Support ultrasound department operations and assist with procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, manage patient flow and supplies.
• Complete documentation and image transfers, answer department calls, follow infection control standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to provide safe, compassionate patient care.
