Job summary

Lake Region Healthcare is seeking an Ultrasound Assistant in Fergus Falls, MN for the ultrasound department. The role supports sonographers, echocardiographers, radiologists, and imaging staff to ensure smooth workflow, patient prep, and organized operations.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, preparing them for exams, handling scheduling, and assisting with procedures while maintaining safety and patient comfort. The position requires independent work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification or must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process.
• Must be able to attend the work site as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients, schedule exams, obtain clinical history and give instructions; assist with mobility and positioning while ensuring privacy and comfort.
• Support ultrasound department operations by assisting sonographers and radiologists; prepare exam rooms, manage patient flow, and document and transfer images.
