Ultrasonographer - OB/GYN - PRN (As Needed)# Ultrasonographer - OB/GYN - PRN (As Needed)Hot JobUniversity (LLC) - Champaign, IL 61820## OverviewSalary Range$32.91 - $45.26 HourlyPosition TypePRN/Per Diem (As Needed)Job Shift1st ShiftEducation Level2-Year DegreeCategoryAllied Health## General Summary of DutiesChristie Clinic's department of OB/GYN is seeking a PRN (as needed) Ultrasonographer **(Sign-On Bonus Available)** between the hours of Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at the University clinic, with no night or weekend requirements.Duties include the performance of a wide range of ultrasound procedures in order to produce results for providers in the diagnosis of diseases.Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound program with RDMS (OB/GYN) or registry eligible for RDMS (OB/GYN), demonstrate clinical experience performing Obstetrical and Gynecological Sonography, evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s in accordance with ARDMS (OB/GYN) is required. Previous OB/GYN Ultrasound experience strongly preferred.## Job Qualifications and Expectations**JOB DUTIES:**(This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)* Perform a wide range of Ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to, obstetrical and gynecological.* Assist the Obstetrician/Gynecologist in special scans such as Sonohysterograms and Amniocentesis.* Ensure that sterile and aseptic techniques are use at all times.* Prepare exam room for each patient, clean, and restock daily.* Greet the patient, explain the procedure, prepare and position the patient, select appropriate transducers and other necessary items for the procedure.* Evaluate the ordered exam to ensure it is correct, make any necessary changes to the electronic order prior to scanning the patient.* Verify that the exam on the work list is the correct exam and that the accession number matches the number on the order.* Evaluate the clinical history and document history to record into the system notes.* Recognize the need for additional imaging and/or positioning to fully illustrate the area in question.* Adjust frequency, gain, depth, focal zone, size and field of view. Use Harmonies or Color Doppler and other factors as necessary.* Verify the images on the system, making certain that all images have arrived and all notes are correct.* Attend and participate in CI huddles* Perform related work as required.**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:*** Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound program with RDMS (OB/GYN) or registry eligible for RDMS (OB/GYN)* Demonstrate clinical experience performing Obstetrical and Gynecological Sonography* Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s in accordance with ARDMS (OB/GYN)**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*** Previous OB/GYN Ultrasound experience**CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:*** RDMS (OB/GYN)* CPR Certification* Nuchal Translucency Certification preferred: must actively pursue Nuchal Translucency Certification by 120 days of employment and attain within 12 months of employment**TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 25 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.**TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:**Work is performed in an outpatient environment. Patient loads are high and the work is fast paced. Employees must be willing to work flexible hours.**PAY AND BENEFITS:**The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
