Excel Fluid Group in Ohio is seeking a Control Panel Builder to join our shop-based team. The role involves assembling, wiring, testing, and documenting UL industrial control panels and pump station automation equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience building, wiring, or testing industrial control panels.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Familiarity with UL panel shop standards, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout, and NFPA 70E preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire industrial control panels from schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Mount and wire components including relays, circuit breakers, transformers, PLC hardware, HMIs, VFDs, and pilot devices.
• Cut, strip, label, crimp, terminate, and route conductors neatly according to standards.
• Perform continuity checks, basic functional testing, and troubleshooting with test equipment.
• Review drawings for accuracy, identify missing information, and communicate issues to avoid delays.
• Maintain clean wire routing, labeling, and panel cleanliness.
• Complete required documentation including checklists, redlines, and test results.
• Follow electrical safe work practices, lockout/tagout, OSHA NFPA 70E awareness.
• Provide limited field support for panel installation and start-up within training limits.
