Job summary

The Marvin Group seeks a UL 508A Control Panel Designer to develop industrial control-panel enclosure layouts and documentation. You will own panel hardware definitions and support build packages while coordinating with manufacturing, qualified panel shops, and quality personnel.

Responsibilities include enclosure layout, hardware selection, schematic creation, and ensuring DFMA practices. Collaboration with panel shops and QA is essential for compliant, repeatable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Instrumentation & Controls or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience designing industrial control-panel enclosures and layouts.
• Proficiency creating electrical schematics, wiring and termination documentation, BOMs.
• UL 508A-aware design under qualified review.

Responsibilities

• Develop enclosure and back-panel layouts with component arrangement and spacing.
• Select and integrate panel hardware against approved requirements.
• Create and maintain schematics, wiring docs, BOMs, labels, and build packages.
• Apply design-for-manufacture and coordinate with manufacturing and quality staff.
• Support prototype and production builds; perform checks and troubleshooting.
• Define hardware interface documentation for PLC, I/O, network, and HMI connections.
