At Blentech Corporation, we specialize in "Blending Simplicity with Technology." We design and manufacture innovative industrial food processing equipment. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Payroll Processing Clerk II to execute our regular multi-state payroll in UKG and support everyday administrative duties and team culture events. This role is focused on routine tactical execution, accurate data entry, and team coordination — it is not a strategic consultant or management role.
Position Overview
Working under the direct supervision of the HR Supervisor, the Payroll Processing Clerk II performs regular data entry, processes semi-monthly time-tracking records, executes multi-state payroll routines in UKG Ready, and assists with employee engagement activities. You will serve as the friendly, go-to resource for internal payroll questions and handle routine administrative tasks.
Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Tactical Payroll Execution & Data Entry (~60% of role)
- Review, analyses, correct and process regular multi-state payroll for 100+ employees using the UKG HRIS platform.
- Perform daily/weekly timecard auditing, tracking missed punches, paid time off (PTO), and overtime usage.
- Maintain accurate employee records in UKG, deductions, and tax documentation (W-2s, W-4s).
- Generate standard payroll output reports for the accounting department following each pay run.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal staff to answer payroll and time-tracking questions.
2. Culture, Events & Employee Recognition (~20% of role)
- Coordinate staff milestone celebrations, Years of Service awards, employee birthday/sympathy cards, and seasonal gifts.
- Work with HR and Sales Administration to plan quarterly safety lunches, holiday parties, and staff appreciation events.
- Assist HR Leadership with company award submissions (e.g., Best Places to Work).
3. Administrative & Office Support (~20% of role)
- Maintain company uniform and apparel inventory (shirts, coveralls) and manage business card orders.
- Support the HR Supervisor with employee onboarding documentation if needed.
- Monitor weekly Glassdoor and Indeed company reviews and flag updates for HR Leadership.
- Compile, log, and submit CMTA tax/training forms. Assist HR with basic benchmarking data collection via Salary.com as requested.
- Run local business errands as needed (driver's license required).
Required Competencies & Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. An associate’s degree (AA) in Business, Payroll Certificate or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience for a workforce of 100+ employees in multiple states.
- Platform Expertise: Required direct hands-on experience using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) HRIS to process payroll. Experience within a PEO model is a plus. Proven multi-state payroll processing experience required. Exposure to Employer of Record (EOR) international payroll tools is a plus.
- Practical Skills: Strong numerical accuracy (calculating hours, percentages, deductions). Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace.
- Interpersonal & Detail Focus: High accuracy in repetitive data entry, strict adherence to employee confidentiality, and a positive, helpful approach to employee service.

- Hourly Wage: $26.55 - $29.58 per hour (non-exempt).
