Job summary

Medtronic is hiring a Software Engineer II to help shape the clinical user experience for the Affera Prism Mapping System. This onsite role in Newton, MA will build and refine application UI surfaces on Linux using Qt/QML, Python, and C++.

You’ll translate UX designs from Figma into responsive Qt/QML implementations, own features end-to-end, and participate in reviews, testing and technical documentation as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Qt/QML, PyQt, or a comparable application UI framework.
• Ability to contribute in a mixed Python/C++ environment using Qt/QML.
• Experience developing on Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement application UI features in Qt/QML, with Python and C++ on Linux.
• Translate UX designs (Figma) into responsive Qt/QML implementations.
• Own moderately scoped features and deliver end-to-end.
• Participate in code reviews, integration, testing and documentation.
