Job summary

Imperative Care is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the Telos robotic system's physician-facing application software. You will design, implement, test, and maintain UI components, translating clinical requirements into safe, reliable software in a hybrid Campbell, CA, full-time setting.

Ideal candidates bring C++ desktop UI experience (Qt/QML, PyQt, OpenGL), Python familiarity, and strong communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field and minimum 2 years of related experience.
Background in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns
Experience with C++ programming
Experience in desktop UI development (e.g. Qt/QML, PyQt, Open GL)
Experience with other programming languages such as Python
Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

Contribute to development of high-performance, interactive visualization applications for medical use.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across software, clinical, systems, and UX to deliver effective product solutions
Develop and maintain robust testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and automated tests, to ensure software quality and reliability
Translate user needs, clinical requirements, and customer feedback into software design and development priorities.
Create and maintain clear documentation for software architecture, coding standards, and development processes to support team alignment and consistency
