Job summary

Lynker is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer in Boulder, CO to modernize SWPC web presence and Testbed applications. You will translate scientific and operational requirements into clean, user-centered designs, building intuitive interfaces with Vue/React/Svelte and back-end services in Java, Python, and Node.js.

The role includes mentoring team members and engaging stakeholders throughout Agile projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in atmospheric science, space physics, geophysics, engineering, computer science, graphic design, human-computer interaction, or mathematics.
• 8+ years of experience in related areas as a Full-Stack Developer, with prior senior/lead capacity.
• Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, Svelte).
• Strong back-end experience with Java, Python, and Node.js (Django a plus).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Hands-on Docker experience for deployment.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like Prefect and AI/ML integration into production apps.
• Excellent client-facing communication and Agile/Scrum experience.

Responsibilities

• Design responsive, user-friendly interfaces for SWPC web apps and delivery systems.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes from stakeholder input.
• Modernize legacy apps using Vue/React/Svelte frameworks.
• Develop RESTful APIs with Python/Django; work with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Prefect; deploy with Docker.
• Lead projects and a dev team; conduct code/QA reviews; liaise with clients.
