Lynker is seeking a detail-oriented UI/UX Front-End Designer to overhaul the user experience for spaceweather.gov under SWPC, NCEP. The role centers on UI/UX research, design systems, and production-ready interfaces for critical infrastructure users.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in UI/UX, a strong portfolio, and experience with USWDS-like design systems, accessibility, and cross-domain communication. Hybrid in Boulder, CO through Lynker’s flexible work model.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in UI/UX design, visual design, or product design
• Portfolio demonstrates UI/UX projects, design systems, data visual mockups, and user research processes
• Mastery of Figma (components, auto-layout, interactive prototyping) or equivalent tools (Adobe XD, Sketch, Illustrator)
• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA standards for visual design
• Ability to articulate design decisions clearly to scientists, program managers, and engineering teams

Responsabilités

• Lead UI/UX design & scientific visualization for spaceweather.gov interfaces and dashboards.
• Transform complex space science information into clear, actionable digital experiences.
• Design interactive dashboards, maps, timelines, charts translating real-time data into meaningful info.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma or comparable tools.
